Miss Rodeo Tehachapi 2012
With an admiration for rodeo and the western way of life, Heather Ross is proud to represent the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association.
Heather was born and raised in the community of Leona Valley, but she calls Tehachapi a second home. Even at a young age, the 19 year old daughter of Dan and Tracy Ross has always loved horses. This passion has lead to her participation in many riding programs over the years such as Leona Valley Gymkhana, Acton Rangers Gymkhana, Antelope Valley Desert Riders, and the National Barrel Horse Association competitions. Heather also participates in the Relay for Life held in Palmdale and she helps out at cherry orchards during the summer.
Her hobbies include trail riding, painting, baking, and cooking for her family.
In 2011, Heather graduated from Paraclete High School and is currently attending College of the Canyons where she is pursuing her Associates Degree in Communications. With this degree she dreams of one day working as a sideline reporter for the PRCA.
