Please meet your Official PRCA Photographers for the 2012 PRCA RAM California Circuit Finals Rodeo

Phil Broda & Gene Hyder

Armed with the tools of their trade, award winning and distinguished PRCA Photographers, Phil Broda and Gene Hyder, will enter the rodeo arena at the 2012 RAM PRCA California Circuit Finals Rodeo.  Not only will they photograph all of the action - but  more importantly, they will capture and preserve the many special memories this Championship Rodeo is sure to deliver!  Both of these men are highly respected among their peers, rodeo contestants, rodeo committees, and we are happy they will be with us this year.

Please meet Offical PRCA Photographer Phil Broda.

Phil has been a commercial photographer since the mid-nineties.  From promotional work to advertising, from photo journalism to sports - he has an extensive background in photography.  He also worked in the entertainment industry.  In the late 90's while doing work for the Thirty Fifth Agricultural District, he became involved with Rodeo and ultimately became an Official PRCA Photographer.  "It is a privilege to be involved with the PRCA and to be included in this year's 2012 PRCA RAM California Circuit Finals Rodeo", said Broda.

Gene has been a rodeo photographer for over four decades.  In years past, Gene has taken many photos of contestants (back in the days when he only took black and white photos and sold them for $2 each.)  He now finds himself in rodeo arenas taking photos of many of those contestants' sons and daughters who are now rodeo contestants themselves.  In 2007, Gene was honored by the PRCA for his excellence in rodeo photography and was presented with his buckle.

"I am very fortunate to know so many wonderful people in the rodeo community and I am proud to have been chosen as one of the Official Photographers for the 2012 RAM California Circuit Finals Rodeo", said Gene.
