“Cotton isn’t a native of Utah, but he is surely an adopted son, producing rodeos in the state for over 36 years.  His name has become synonymous with quality rodeo entertainment, and the Flying U is home to the oldest rodeo breeding program currently operating.

Karin was active in the show arena from a young age, excelling in Western and English riding and serving as the first president of the Utah Jr. Quarter Horse Association.  Looking for more frontiers to conquer, she entered and won the 1975 Miss Rodeo Ogden Competition, going on to win the Miss Rodeo Utah title as well.  After her reign, she completed her education in the field of Fashion Merchandising, which was handy following her marriage to Cotton, when she began to manage the operation of their western store, Cotton’s Cowboy Corral.

Karin is active in the Chamber of Commerce, as well as in her church.  She also earned her Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Timer and Secretary card, and has used those skills at many rodeos for over three decades.  She is a member of H.A.N.D.S., an elite women’s service group that offers support to rodeo people who may be in need.  She and Cotton have hosted ranch tours for school children, supported FFA, 4H and high school rodeo clubs and teams.

In addition to having served on the PRCA Executive Board, Cotton is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Rodeo Historical Society at the National Cowboy and Western Museum in Oklahoma.  In 2009, Cotton was inducted into the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Hall of Fame in Oklahoma and the PRCA Hall of Fame in Colorado.  Inducted July 6, 2012”

Congratulations to the Rossers.  We thank you for all you do for the sport of rodeo and we thank you for your continued support of the PRCA California Circuit.
