The Santa Barbara Old Spanish Days Stock Horse Show & Rodeo is the last remaining Stock Horse Show and Rodeo in California. They celebrate 91 years of time honored traditions, community involvement, and community pride.

"...Bobby comes from a family well known in the Ventura County ranching community. He was born in the ranch house of the Hobson Ranch in Aliso Canyon, Saticoy, where his father, Joe, had followed in his own father’s footsteps as ranch foreman. Though his mother, Louisa, and Joe raised all of their 5 sons on the ranch, Bobby was the only one who seriously pursued rodeos. Joe proved to be an accomplished cowboy himself, having a part along with brother Ray and Canadian cowboy Bill Schwindt, in the creation of the team penning event which now has gained wide popularity in the rodeo world. Joe holds many of his own rodeo accomplishments as well, including winning a saddle at the Santa Barbara Fiesta for seven years in a row in the stock horse event..."
