Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo - "The Richest Two-Day Rodeo in the World" starts today!
The 16th Annual Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo starts today (August 27, 2016) - Opening Ceremonies begin at 3:45 and the rodeo action starts at 4:00. Rodeo action resumes Sunday, August 28, 2016 - Opening Ceremonies begin at 1:15 and rodeo action starts at 1:30. The best 30 riders in six events (Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Bull Riding, and Team Roping) will showcase their abilities in this, "The Richest Two-Day Rodeo in the World".
Editors Note: The Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo is part of the PRCA California Circuit. The PRCA/WPRA California Circuit Finals Rodeo will be held October 7 & 8, 2016, at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster, California. The top 12 PRCA CA Circuit Cowboys and Cowgirls, in each event, will rope and ride for the Circuit Championships and Year End Championships at this event. Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Announcers Mr. Bob Tallman and Mr. Bob Feist will be your PRCA Rodeo Announcers. Guaranteed they will keep rodeo fans abreast of everything that is happening in the arena and provide interesting stories and information on all of the cowboys.
Rodeo Fans are in for a special treat! The Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls (website / Facebook ) will be performing at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo. In 2012, members of the Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls traveled to England to perform for Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee and and the honor of meeting Queen Elizabeth II. For full story, please visit link. Your PRCA Rodeo Secretary will be Cindy Rosser ( website / Facebook ). She will ensure a smooth running operation. Your PRCA Timers will be Karin Rosser and Robyn Yerxa.
Chase Cervi ( Facebook ), Bronc Boehnlein ( Facebook ), Chance Jackson, and Louis Jones will be in the arena to keep our cowboys and animal athletes safe. The Flying U Rodeos (Website / Facebook) will be your Stock Contractor(s) providing all of the animal athletes for the prestigious Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo.
