Two distinguished ladies in their field of expertise, Jeri Reeder and Robin Yerxa will fulfill the role of Official Timers for the 2013 PRCA RAM California Circuit Finals Rodeo.  Both Jeri and Robin are PRCA accredited timers who possess years of rodeo experience and a wealth of knowledge.  They take great pride in their duties and responsibilities to both the contestants and rodeo alike.  Maintaining the utmost in professionalism, both Jeri and Robin will ensure the accurate operation of the rough stock and timed events.

Timers hold the official stopwatches for every event, except barrel racing where they act as back-ups for an electric timer.  Having an unobstructed view of everything that goes on inside the arena, they carefully respond to what they see.  Their full attention must be given to each and every contestant to ensure accuracy and fairness in each timed event.

Even though they are rarely seen, fans know they are there - especially when they hear one of the best sounds in rodeo - The Official Timer sounding that loud horn or whistle indicating a contestant has completed an "8-Second Ride".

Working hand in hand with the Rodeo Secretary and Judges, they ensure that all proper records are kept - together they are responsible for the accuracy of the sport!

Please meet your Official Timers:

She resides in Corinne, Utah where they enjoy ranching. She once heard that a successful rancher has a wife that goes to town to work.  Jeri has worked as a payroll clerk and in human resources for the past twenty five years.

In 2012, she accepted the position of "Treasurer" in the PRCA Wilderness Circuit. Her hobbies include, rodeo, camping, running, and spending time with her nine grandchildren.

"It is a great honor to have been chosen to work the 2013 Ram California Circuit Finals Rodeo", said Jeri.

Robin Yerxa

Robin has been an accredited PRCA Timer for 10 years.  Working closely with the Flying U Rodeo Company (website), Robin actively participates as a Timer for about 12 rodeos a year.  In addition to working full time, she is grateful that her schedule allows her to travel and be an integral part of the sport she loves - Rodeo.  She is from Marysville, CA.

Traveling with her long-time companion, Tony Amaral, she says one of the best parts of traveling to rodeos is being able to meet up with old friends - that is, after she has full-filled her Timer responsibilities.

Please join us in Congratulating and welcoming both of these ladies to the 2013 PRCA RAM California Circuit Finals Rodeo.
