The "King of Cowboys", Mr. Cotton Rosser, will be honored at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's Western Heritage Awards, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
From the Western Heritage Museum Website:
"First presented in 1961, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum’s Western Heritage Awards were established to honor and encourage the legacy of those whose works in literature, music, film and television reflect the significant stories of the American West. The awards program also recognizes inductees into the prestigious Hall of Great Western Performers and the Hall of Great Westerners, as well as the recipient of the Chester A. Reynolds Memorial Award, named in honor of the Museum’s founder. Each honoree receives a Wrangler, an impressive bronze sculpture of a cowboy on horseback. Celebrity emcee and award presenters add to the event’s glamour. Festivities kick off the night before with the Jingle-Jangle Mingle, arguably the best social event on the Western culture calendar. All events take place at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. The public is invited to make reservations and attend, April 17-18, 2015."
On April 18, 2015, Mr. Rosser, along with the late John Hughes, will be inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners in what promises to be an amazing evening celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of many.
Mr. and Mrs. Rosser will be in attendance at the 54th Anniversary of the Western Heritage Awards.
"We feel honored and humbled that Cotton is to be inducted into the Hall of Great Westerns with Theodore
Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, Red Steagall, and 200 other great men and women of the American West who exemplify the Western ideals of honesty, integrity, leadership, and self-sufficiency." said Mrs. Karin Rosser.
