Johnny Zamrzla, California Circuit Finals Rodeo President and Showdown Rodeo, Inc. Chairman, was recognized by Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris and Councilman Marvin Crist at the Lancaster City Council meeting on January 10.  Parris and Crist praised Zamrzla and the Finals Committee for their dedication and contributions to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, the City of Lancaster, and the Ram California Circuit Finals Rodeo.

Zamrzla thanked Mayor Parris and the City Council for their support in bringing the "World Series of California Rodeo" to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.

Zamrzla also announced the rodeo dates for 2012.  California Championship Rodeo will be returning to the City of Lancaster October 19, 20, and 21 at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.

"We are so proud to be in partnership with the City of Lancaster.  Working as a team, we can make the RAM California Circuit Finals an even bigger success for our community."

The City also recognized the efforts of the Showdown Rodeo, Inc. Committee Members Tom Fuller, Susan Grantham, Michelle Lewis, and Sandy Travis.  Miss Showdown Rodeo, Heather Londergan, and Junior Miss Showdown Rodeo, Jamie Wells, were also present at the meeting, lending their support to the City of Lancaster.

After the meeting, Mayor Parris was overheard asking Zamrzla if there will be a bull he can ride.  The group shared a hearty laugh and shook hands.
