The 105th California Rodeo Salinas is underway! Last night (July 16th), the "Largest Rodeo in California" welcomed 9,938 rodeo fans to the Salinas Sports Complex! The excitement has been building for months, and these fans were ready to watch the first performance of this world renowned rodeo and cheer on all of their favorite cowboys and cowgirls! They got what they were waiting for and more! Last night's theme was Wrangler's "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" and rodeo fans all wore pink to show their support!
Three more performances await rodeo fans! Tonight's performance is themed "Wells Fargo's Fight Hunger Night". Saturday's performance (July 18) is "Salute to Military" - all active military personnel, and, for the first time, Veterans, will receive free admission with identification (wear your red/white/blue!) - for all details visit (website.) Sunday's performance (July 19th) is the Pendleton Day of Champions! Purple is the color of the day for the "Man Up Crusade", a non-profit organization dedicated to creating public awareness of the issue of domestic violence ( link ).

Four Star Rodeo Company ( Facebook ), along with several sub-contractors, will be your Stock Contractor and will provide all of the animal athletes for the 105th California Rodeo Salinas. On July 14th, the California Rodeo Salinas, along with the stock contractors, hosted a "behind the scenes" livestock tour for sponsors and guests. A great time was had by all !
