Special Rodeo & Roping Lessons with Miss Rodeo California
Come join Miss Rodeo California, Rachel Owens-Sarno, at a very special event at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 8, 2016 - 3 pm to 7:30 pm - "Special Rodeo and Roping Lessons". The Special Rodeo is an event that provides rodeo contestants and rodeo queens the opportunity to share the sport of rodeo with special needs kids and adults - Everyone is invited.
As California's ambassador for the sport of professional rodeo, Rachel has traveled all over the State of California and across our country sharing her love of rodeo and the western way of life. Rachel understands and enjoys the sense of excitement and wonderment when someone has the opportunity to learn about, and even meet and talk with, real cowboys and cowgirls.
During the Special Rodeo, local special needs kids and adults are paired up with rodeo experts to participate in modified rodeo events. Each exceptional cowboy and cowgirl is able to participate in events such as the Stick horse Barrel Racing, ride a rocking bucking horse and bull, as well as learn to tie a fake goat and rope a fake cow.
Every ‘Special Rodeo’ contestant is a winner and will be presented with a beautiful custom designed medallion, and will be taking home a cowboy hat, bandana, and official back number while supplies last. The ‘Special Rodeo’ is a wonderful way for cowboys and cowgirls to give back to the communities that are home to their rodeos, and touch the lives of kids and adults. It is a wonderful hands-on experience for all who participate and is a heartwarming event for anyone involved.
We look forward to seeing you! To learn more about Miss Rodeo California, please visit her at ( website / Facebook ). Thank you Rachel for all you do!
