Your 2013 Miss Rodeo California, Dakota Skellenger, has been a very busy ambassador. From the moment she was crowned, Dakota has been on the road representing the Professional Sport of Rodeo and our beautiful State of California.
Dakota has traveled up and down the State of California. She has greeted rodeo fans, welcomed sponsors, carried our Nation's Flag, as well as the Flag of our State in several rodeo grand openings. She has traveled to Bakersfield Stampede Days, Lakeside Rodeo, Springville Rodeo, Glennville Rodeo, and most recently, to Salinas Rodeo (just to name a few).
We are excited to announce that Dakota will make a personal appearance in Lancaster, CA, on August 8th to help promote the 2013 RAM PRCA California Circuit Finals Rodeo. She will be available for photographs and autographs (more information will be made available in the next day or so.)
Dakota has also appeared at several other events including AG Day at the Capitol and the Sacramento Horse Expo. She has also participated as a judge at the Miss Norco Mounted Posse Rodeo Queen Pageant.
During her travels, which have included "out of state and Country trips", Dakota has traveled to Florida, Oklahoma, Colorado, Nevada, Canada. She has represented our State with great charm and enthusiasm. She is on the road as we speak to the "Daddy of 'em all" - Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming. To keep up with Miss Rodeo California, follow Dakota on her blog (link) and on her official Facebook Page.
On behalf of the PRCA California Circuit, we would like to take this opportunity thank Dakota for all of her hard work on behalf of our State and on behalf of the Professional Sport of Rodeo. We know she still has a lot of places to go and we wish her safe travels and many more exciting adventures and experiences. We look forward to welcoming Dakota upon her arrival at the RAM PRCA California Circuit Finals Rodeo (website) (Facebook) in October.
